Hide & Paint

NoodleHide & Paint

Paint yourself. Squish into place. Don't get spotted.

Dabble is a living drop of paint, and every hiding spot is a painting job. Peek at the scene, paint Dabble to match it, squish into the perfect gap, then hold your breath while Grandpa Hoot's lantern swings past.

Dabble, a drop of paint painted in kitchen-wallpaper stripes, hides on a shelf between jars while Grandpa Hoot's lantern lights the room

How it works

One round, five little moments

Every scene plays the same way, and every scene asks for a different disguise.

  1. Peek

Look at the scene for a few seconds. Where will the lantern go? Which colours are nearby?

  2. Paint

Paint Dabble's body with brushes, the bucket, pattern stamps and the smart dropper that picks a colour straight from the scene.

  3. Place

Drag Dabble into a spot, then squish, stretch and turn until the shape melts into the background.

  4. Seek

The seeker walks its route. Where the light lands on a mismatch, suspicion grows. Scenes change mid-seek: a lamp clicks on, the sun sets.

  5. Result

Hidden the whole time? One to three stars by how well you blended. Found? A giggle, a hint and another go.

Eight worlds, twenty scenes each

Every world teaches one new trick

160 hand-painted scenes. Each world adds a tool, a pattern or a seeker that changes how you hide, and every scene changes while the seeker is looking.

The seekers

Eight ways of looking

Every world has its own seeker, and each one sees differently. None of them is scary: the worst that happens is a giggle and "Found you!"

  • Grandpa Hoot

    Cozy Kitchen and the finale

A short-sighted owl with round spectacles and a big swinging lantern. Kind, dramatic, mutters his guesses out loud.

  • Biscuit

    Toy Room

A sniffing beagle pup whose nose hugs the floor. Low hiding spots are risky, high ones are safer, until she looks up.

  • Glint

    Jungle Canopy

A magpie who loves shiny things. Bright, saturated paint draws her straight to you, so keep it muted.

  • Flicker & Flutter

    Art Gallery

Twin bats, two lanterns, two routes. Blend in for both at once.

  • Ember

    Snowy Village

A snow fox with a warm torch and very keen eyes. Slow, careful, and she pauses where you least want her to.

  • Sprinkles

    Candy Factory

A sugar-ant inspector with a magnifying glass. A tight beam that stops and inspects at every checkpoint.

  • Captain Pinch

    Rainy Night Street

A lighthouse crab. His wide beam sweeps all the way round while he scuttles along.

  • Beep (Unit B-0)

    Moon Base

A scanner robot with a thin laser line that sweeps across the room. Very strict exactly on the line.
